I have obtained an installer for OS 9.2.2... how do I go about dual booting it on my iBook?

unless your Mac is an older model, it won't dual-boot. What it will do, is run OS 9.2.2 as part of the Classic environment, so that you can run (old) OS 9 software.
installation instructions here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.h.../en/mh763.html |

You're kidding... I can't outright install OS 9, even on a partition??

Because I've never used an actual OS 9 installation and wanted to know what it was like.
Classic doesnt have the Finder or anything else that I could see, only the menubar when a Classic program was opened. |
