I updated to 10.3.8 and then tried to install MOH Breathrough only to discover that it wouldn't install. It would run through the motions but the actual install would take about 1 second and then it would claim to be finished but no files would appear on the computer (iMac G5).
Out of frustration I repaired permissions, ran the crons, and wiped all MOH files and did a clean MOH install. Except now I can't get the original MOH (Allied Assault) to install either. It just keeps telling me that the install process isn't finished and to insert disc 2, which I do, but it then tells me the process is finished and to insert disc 1, and the loop continues. Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem? MOH (AA,Spearhead) worked fine until 10.3.8. |

Okay - it works now. I installed the whole MOH series of my iBook (10.3.7) and used firewire target mode to transfer the files over. It's funny that it will play but not install on 10.3.8. Possibly a problem with the install scripts. I don't know. Hopefully someone can profit from my experience in the future.
p.s. and yes, I had the 1.14 MOH patch installed. That wasn't the problem. |
