I notice when I connect my camera to PB I have Image Capture set to pop up and download my pictures but the card itself isn't mounted on my desktop. I Have images stored on there from work in a new folder that isn't used by the camera so Image Capture won't download them (doesn't even say that they are there).
Can I access it through hidden folders? Maybe a driver? Or am I out of luck? Thanks. Powershot S80 Mac OS X 10.4.7 |

Your camera is most likely set to PictBridge (direct printing) mode, rather than mounting as a USB mass storage device.
Poke around in the camera's onscreen menus; most newer models support both modes. You ask me for a hamburger. |

The S80 doesn't have the mass storage mode, so the only way to get the pictures off is through Canon's software. If you want faster transfers, get a cheap ($10) media reader, then you can just mount the card as a drive and do whatever you want with it - and it's at least twice as fast, too.

You need to store pictures in the DCIM folder to be read.
