Not now... but if I find a tasteful & discreet "wardriver" sticker (that can be removed), It'll probably go under the Apple logo.

On the other hand, people like this just piss me off.

Never for me, although my family does. (Post-it notes count too if they are never removed)

I'd paint my lappy, but no stickers...

But if you think about it... there's a market for reusable stickers for laptops. So you can be creative, but no do any long-term damage.

no sig, how's that for being a rebel!

Yup...

Hey, you guys know those oval 3-lettered stickers (like this that you can buy for just about anything? It would be sweet if I could get one that says "OS X". :smokey:

Never put a sticker on your PowerBook! Ever! Use a window cling if you must.

Leave the stickers for PC laptops.

Also, I think a transparent "h4x0r" sticker would look awesome on my iBook... I'm really hard to please though... I'll find one the right size, and I won't like the font, or vice versa.

I wonder if there's a way to make one myself? Something like this, about 3 inches long...

That's a great idea... I might put something like that on my car. Especially since a lot of yuppie SUVs have OBX (for the outer banks, NC) on their bumpers.

As far as on my computer... definitely not.

I saw a guy in the library a couple of weeks ago with a 12" or 15" PowerBook with--wait for it--a couple of Hello Kitty stickers on either side of the iridescent Apple logo.

I just shook my head.

I have never seen an Apple laptop with stickers on it, and I hope I never do. I've seen countless PC laptops plastered in them, though. I suppose the manufacturer starts for you "Intel Inside," Made for Windows," and all that crap. With a Mac, there's just nothing to hide. I did once, a long time ago, have a lunch box that was covered entirely on one side by Apple stickers. It was one of those plastic ones with a picture on the front, but I don't even remember what the picture was of, because it was covered over by six or eight Apple logo stickers. I wonder if that's still in the attic or basement of my dad's house... It's been a very long time since I used that lunch box; 15-18 years, probably. Alright, that was almost entirely OT, but that's OK.

Okay, Meltedbutter, I changed the title to "stickers" for you.

But if you prefer "sickers", I can change it back.

So....

I can't understand why people would even consider putting stickers on an iBook/PowerBook. Part of having a Mac is the fact you have a product that looks damn good as well as functioning beautifully!!!

People might think you're without taste, rather than letting your choice of computer prove otherwise...

ThinkGeek has those exact white oval "country" stickers, for all manner of geeky things (LNX, GNU, WWW, etc.) but, surprisingly, they don't have any for OS X. I bet if you emailed them, they'd consider making one. They're $1.75 apiece - not bad.

and i guess i've known it all along / the truth is, you have to be soft to be strong
