Regarding the car...that's certainly one of the more unique MacInCar setups I've seen. Is that 'Book actually completely embedded inside there? If so, what kind of cooling setup does it have, since the vents would likely be completely covered?

That aside, nice collection...if I can ever get my desk looking presentable, I may just post my own. One of these days...

This thread is a bit similar to the Post Your Computer Setup thread.... linky

Ah.. What the heck...

Notice my 'Walrus' Dual G5 with pens to keep the DVD front open after British Airways tried out skydiving with it or something! The entire case is warped by about an inch. I actually use a pair of boxers (I don't wear anymore) to balance one side of it, otherwise it rocks!) It arrived in Bangkok after being Air Freighted in it's original packaging but it had either been in a plane crash, or driven over by a truck - British Airways (the scum) won't tell me which!!!!!

It still worked when it was pulled out of the box though! Good old Apple!

The legal case still goes on!!! Hence I am still having to wait to get it fixed.

Could I ask tht everyone boycott BA and bombard their servers with SPAM until they cough up for their mistakes... Cheeers!

the vents are not covered, the metal bars holding it in were machined with a hole for the side vent, and the main vent on a tibook is in the back

the screen is a 7" xenarc touchscreen, on which i just got xgestures running, which is *awesome*... i can now drag my finger to the right to skip songs, and the left to go back, up and down are volume, which, in combination with my other control device, my powermate, work so well it's rediculous.

hotch.. That is an awesome setup in your car.. Love it.
I want to do something similar with one of our older laptops this year.

One question.. How do you find typing on the keyboard? Has anyone ever shut you in the boot?

That's quite the cool setup, Hotch. You should mount an iSight on the front of the car like a hood ornament so your Mac can learn to drive.

Okay - didn't realise it required piracy - thought there might be a legit option.
