I have a website and I want to be able to track locations- quite detailed really. I know that if they are in a company you can see the location of the IP. I really want to be able to see the location of the exchange, down to the block/village they are in- from the exchange basically. Its for a legitimate purpose honest.
Is there a service i can use to do this? Cheers. |

There are companies that provide usage statistics for websites. What this involves is putting a snippet of code in every single webpage to be tracked. That code sends info back to their server and you go to their website to view the statistics. Unfortunately, I've never seen these services with more specific info than country or timezone.

http://statcounter.com/ is very good.
Loads of information is available including City/Town, OS, Browser, Screen Resolution, Where they came from (page before) and which are the most popular pages. As dfiler said, you need to include a small piece of code on each page. (demo: http://my6.statcounter.com/project/s...ct_i d=234043 ) |
