World's Funniest Analogies

I read this last night on my iPhone and laughed so much it pissed my wife off who was trying to go to sleep. There are some real doozies in here.

"The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling
ball wouldn't."

I couldn't read past this. Not only a blatant ripoff of Douglas Adams, it entirely misses the point of his original analogy. Now I'm going to be irritated for the rest of the day. Thanks.

Trying to remember that Douglas Adams line was pestering me. I looked it up:

"The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't."

"Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever" and "A shot rung out, as shots are wont to do" have long been two of my all-time favorites.

I'm pretty sure the whole thing is fake, though. Exactly like two hummingbirds who are also fake.

and i guess i've known it all along / the truth is, you have to be soft to be strong
