YAAR!!!!

I'm trying to install CS3 on my computer and it's telling me I've exceeded my activations. I'm not sure how that's the case, but I'll grant that it's possible I forgot to deactivate a couple of my computers in the past couple of years. I'm pretty sure I deactivated my iMac before I sold it and my MBP before that (damn, I go through A LOT of computers. I should see someone about that ). Anyway, I've been on hold with Adobe for 10 minutes now trying to talk to someone about this. It's ridiculous. I could have found a torrent of CS4 by now...

If companies are going to put a limit on activations, there needs to be a way to kill all computers and start over like they've got in iTunes. Even iTunes isn't the greatest because it's limited to once a year. But there are a gazillion and one reasons you might not deactivate a computer's authorization and maybe only one of those has to do with sharing the software. I understand the reasons behind activation limits but don't make it so hard for me to deal with!

This is precisely why I have *no* qualms about cracking or using a pirate serial on software I *legitimately* have and use.

Fuck em.

I ended up spending 30 minutes on hold before I finally got frustrated enough to give up. I'll figure out some other way to use the software I paid for.
