OK... I was messing in the System preferences... I went into displays... I was able to change it to 1280 x 960! My "default" was 1024 x 768. Is there any "difference" between displays on my computer? Will I mess anything up. Because it's kinda nice have a lot more room in Safari and stuff.
And does it effect any of the other users on my computer? Macintosh - My Anti-Drug |

It all depends on the kind of monitor you have. If you have an LCD you'll want to set it as high as possible - the highest setting is the LCD's 'native' resolution. Anything less than that and the screen is interpolating the extra pixels... and making things generally fuzzy.
If you have a CRT, you can play around with the settings as much as you like until you find one that's comfortable for your eyes. As the resolution gets higher, the refresh rate drops, and it can introduce screen flicker or jiggle. From the sound of it, you'll be just fine with that higher setting. |

(like "my Mac is a..." and "my monitor is a...") would be helpful. See this thread http://forums.applenova.com/showthread.php?t=861 for more info. |
