Hi,

I have just ogt the Aculaser c1100 - gret colour laser printer, however the printer just prints black boxes arounbd any graphics that have a shadow on them. (oomnigraffle and Powerpoint etc) I have looked at the Epson site for help and they talk about installing a Post script element - I can't find this either on the mac or on the software that came with it.

I was wondering if anyone had had any similar problems, not necessarily with Epson, and if anyone had worked a solution.

Thanks

Hi - I learn't something the other day, if you convert the graphics that are causing the problem into Jpegs, then the shadow problem goes away.

It's not the answer I am looking for, but in a few cases where I have uses opacity and shadows for large comlicated graphics, it has saved me having to re-do them.

HI awilso.

Thats interesting. Unfortunatly the majority of my print outs are journal articles from the web. Just the other day i had a friend print out, the background was black with white text. Crazy not to mention a huge waste in toner.

Im going to check the epson website for troubleshooting.

Thanks for the info anyway.

Something else I found out recently which I don't understand. But the printer doesn't have shadow problems in Portrait but does in Landscape when using omnigraffle. So if you can do things in portrait it works a little better.
