Nonsense. We agreed to sell our labor for a given rate and he wanted to unilaterally change the terms to 60-80 hours/week while also cutting pay. Nobody with an ounce of self respect would take that deal.

…which is the only generation his deal would be appealing to. More seasoned software engineers have family and other obligations.

And younger folks have a ton of different opportunities than Twitter…

Um...that's why I implied on the previous page that the offer was merely a cover for reducing unwanted personnel.

I have noted the only people I personally know in meatspace who believe that Elon knows exactly what he's doing (and is going to succeed) are either over the age of 60, technically unsophisticated, or politically far right wing. Many hit all three points.

To what end? He has way less personnel than he needs to run the place.

The way Musk probably saw it, the best of what's left would take up the challenge, and whatever slackers remained would leave.

Not the way it worked out in reality.

And there we go. Melon just allowed Trump back onto Twitter. He really is bent on breaking the planet. Or whatever.

Gotta admit, he knows what his target audience likes.

I'm sure having the CEO post amazing content such as this is making the advertisers thrilled.

So it goes.

I'm sure this will appeal to conservative, Christian Tradition Family Values™ advertisers.

I think Elon Musk is playing to Trump's "god" status amongst the hypocritical "Christian" far-right.

Nothing "god-like" about Trump, and nothing "Christian" about the far right.

I think he's bating, and having fun doing it.

I'm ready for the news cycle to shift out from under him. Take all the fun out it.
