My brand new G4 iBook does not have the Address Book. Copied my iMac's (10.2.8) Address Book and placed under Applications (10.3.8) on the iBook. It's there but will not open. Reinstalled OS from original disks - nothing. What to do?

Didn't have Address Book? That's very peculiar. Where did you buy it?
Applications like Address Book depend on specific system frameworks to operate. Address Book, for example, needs the right framework version to interface with the global address book data. So, the application used in the old 10.2.x systems (as you noticed) will not work. Exactly what procedure did you follow when you reinstalled from the original disks? !. Bought it from Amazone.com, 2. I merely copied the Address Book from the iMac ands inserted it into the iBook plus the Prefs. Also tried to reinstall the enire system from the original install disks. Also tried the Pacifist to isolate tghe Address Book and only install it. The Pacifist did not show up as a component to install.
