Yesterday, I visited the former Checkpoint Alpha, the former border crossing between west and east germany. Today it is a memorial site with exhibitions and information on the customs procedures, escape attempts etc.

How about this 356C police car:

I can also offer pictures from a 356/2 from 1948, a 356/2 Cabriolet from 1949, a 356 Coupé "Ferdinand" from 1950, the 356 America roadster or a 356 speedster prototype...

I went to Disney World a month or so ago with my girlfriend to check out the Star Wars weekend thing and to get ourselves frozen in carbonite. I didn't bring my camera because we wanted to travel as light as possible, but I did take a lot of pics with my iPhone 4S. Here are a few of the ones I thought came out well.

First one is one of the park cast members playing Darth Maul. He was very menacing, he never said a single word or made a sound, simply stared and stared at everybody who came near him. He would circle them, stare them down, and if they handed him something to sign, he would grudgingly take it and sign it, staring at them the whole time. The performance was so good I heard some younger kids getting scared and wanting to get out of line. I had kudos for that guy, he put on a great show. He had the creepy red contacts and everything. The makeup was professional level, it was awesome.

This next pic is at one of the more expensive Disney Hotels, the Yacht Club. This is a pool that spans an absolutely massive area and twists all around, you can get an inner tube and float around. The pic is only showing maybe 1/8 of the whole pool, it went on forever. And at 9 every night they shoot of fireworks over Epcot, which you can see in the background.

Closer to our hotel was the Boardwalk, a sort of Olde Tyme boardwalk recreation with shops and street performers. I liked how the lights reflected on the water.

After a bit of a dry spell I think it's time to get some more images up!

This is the nicest photo I think I've taken with my phone alone: (iPhone 4, taken with Instagram)

EDIT: Yikes, it's huge! I'll resize when I get home and have access to ImageWell.
EDIT2: Ok, that's more like it.

Pet owners are weird. He sure is fluffy, though.

More animals below, this time distant horses shot from my hotel window in Pays Basque. They frolicked up the hill, seemingly to catch the last rays of the dying sun.

As a little contrast to quagmire's clean car...

The Wadden Sea is a World Heritage Site. At first glance, it looks like a big bowl of dead mud, but when you look closer, its is full of life ...

In the excavated heap in the foreground, you see the U-shaped "living room" of a lugworm (see next photo).

Your fisheye shots are always strong, GSpotter. In fact, I don't know anyone else who does such good work with a fisheye. You make it more than a gimmick. In this case, it's perfect for showing the limited horizons of the lugworm's life. (Disgusting creature!)

I like the other photos too, gents. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks but doesn't always say something. Keep them coming.

Shit! You'd have to shoot at 1/2000 to get a clear shot of that thing on my hand!

Nice work with the animals. September is looking like it will be a busy month behind the camera for me. I'm the official photographer for a charity tennis tournament locally. Should have lots of pics to share once things get started on Sept 9.
