Hi all,

I've been capturing some screenshots of websites for review and for those that extend beyond the length of my screen, I have had to scroll down, recapture and then stitch together at a later stage. This makes me think that I'm doing it wrong and that there must be a better way to capture a full page of a site, not just what is viewable within the browser window on screen.

I have been pointed to Paparazzi! which looks good so far, but was wondering whether you learned folk know of other OS X Lion apps that will do the job. Don't mind paying for it, so it doesn't have to be free.

TIA.

All I want is a simple life

I was gonna point to Paparazzi!, but see that you already know of it. He seems to be working on a more modern version, but the current beta seems to work fine.

There's also Web Snapper. Hmm.

Also, TechSmith now has a Mac version of SnagIt, which will do rolling screenshots in order to get the whole page (I use the PC version at work when documenting processes and testing results).

Can't you also just print as a PDF?

When you print to PDF, it still gets handled like it's printing to paper: It scales down in width and gets split into pages. That's not likely what he wants.

Paparazzi really is the best tool for this job, and it's free.

I guess that makes sens. Didn't think of it like that.

I've needed to do the same thing before, but I guess everything that I needed was before it would be split into two pages.

No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now.

There's a Chrome plugin for doing this:

I use LittleSnapper for this sort of thing. Works pretty well imo and has a handy menu bar icon that makes it easy.

Bump. I just installed a Safari extension called Awesome Screenshot which can capture the entire page. Very easy to use.
