archive and install...in options part of install
see your install booklet will give you a previous system folder after a couple of weeks and all is fine, delete previous system archive and install gives you all new os but leaves your other files alone g crazy is not a rare human condition everything is food if you chew hard enough |

Another option, but not one I'd recommend (from personal experience), is the straight upgrade option (without making an archival copy of your old system folder).
Either way, you'll still be able to use all of your Panther apps, with the exception of those that do not behave under Tiger for one reason or another. The vast majority work perfectly (or close enough), though. |
