So I was lucky and got a new powerbook battery, but my old battery still holds perfect charge. Will I get billed if I don't return this battery? What's the deal on this?

Yes, you'll get billed if you don't send it in. You must return the old battery ASAP.

Can I wait till Thanksgiving to do this?

Where does it say I will be billed?

Did they not send you a box to put the old battery into?

They did, but it doesn't state what the consequences are if I don't return it.

It only provides instructions on how to return it.

You could play the "I didn't know it, it isn't wrote anywhere" card. But be sure it isn't. Re-read ALL of your stuff and wait until they charge/contact you.

You know why the batteries were recalled, right? Are you really willing to risk an exploding laptop burning your house down?

I sold my replacement battery. Apple doesn't have any of my billing information.
