This is a small but really annoying problem with finder,

when i open finder it shows the home page, 9 icons arranged in 3 rows of 3. if i then select apps and go back to home it will show the icons arranged in 2 rows of 2 the space where the third row should be is almost but not quite wide enough for the third row.

If i drag the window slightly wider it cures the problem for a short while only. If i select desktop, hd or documents no problem, and if i select any of these then back to home it shows 3 rows of 3 again.

View options are set to, icon size 128 x 128, grid spacing max, text size 12, arrange by name.

This only started happening after changing and trying a few sets of folders through Candybar3, before that i never had a problem.

System Mac mini, intel, Leopard, 10.5.1.

Attempted fixes. Restart, force quit finder, repair permissions, delete cache folders, and finally reset the Pram. All to no avail.

Any ideas? Thanks guys.

I used to be undecided.....But now I'm not so sure.
