Hi,
After owning a powerbook titanium I have decided to upgrade to mac mini. Now the big question, I used my old mac for maya ple 7, and I was wondering whether I should wait until the intel mac mini's come out and run maya under rosetta or wait until the intel mac minis come out and buy a second hand mac mini. Thanks Bentley |

Not the most helpful response, probably, but I made the same upgrade. The mini is cool for what I ask it to do (very, very basic stuff), but I find it is a tad too basic sometimes. I haven't maxed out the RAM, but it's still a very basic machine. Not sure about Maya specifically. I think about this issue more about timeframe because of Steve's announcement that the all-Intel transition will be complete this year.
For me, I'd wait a bit. The single core Intel chips may not be as good as the duos, but they will likely smoke the G4s... Also, the graphics cards seem to be more pumped up on the newer Intels. |

Something better should be around soon in the Mini - Intel or not. I'd wait.
