Oh it totally is. AN has ruined every other message board for me, because none of them are as...intelligent, really.

I mean, other forums are full of people downranking people (publicly!) for merely having different opinions, no matter how well stated, and upranking people for openly mocking those opinions, and just tons of shit like that. Like car forums. Car forums suck. People will call you a troll just for disagreeing on something, it's like group-think.

There's people here I have disagreed with, but I'd still say the overall intelligence level is uncanny. It makes everywhere else feel like YouTube comments. Even when our threads sort of fall apart and need to be locked, I still think they stay civil longer than they would have elsewhere.
