The benefits of the new displays for the environment
Kind of interesting that they included this as a key feature, or rather, it's own sub section of the displays. Not only that, but they put certain emphasis on oil dependency and "the bigger picture" of environmental and oil issues. I wonder if this is the start of something bigger at apple, maybe more eco-conscious products all around, maybe they've already started, and that's why there have been some quality control issues with some of their major recent releases. I dunno, that's just speculation of course, but it would be nice to see. edit: Hmm, following links on apple's page lead me to this Apple and the environment is this (relatively) new? or has it always been there and is really more of a hot air, hollow policy that many companies endorse? |

Seems pretty normal after taking into account that Apple is located in California. Environmental awareness has been part of the culture there for many years.

But, I'd like to think that Apple's environmental concerns are valid, particularly because they seem to have acknowledged the need to preserve oil and ease oil dependency, which is something I don't hear a lot(enough) of talk about from (anyone really) |

good eyes, I wouldn't have noticed that at all. But, maybe it's not so much that it's a whole new doctrine, just a new (or revised) mission statement. |
