Has anyone had this problem? Whenever I add a business into my address book without an actual persons name in the name field, my address book will take a random name from my address book and add it to the business name that im adding. I know what im describing is a little confusing for here's an example. Lets say I'm trying to add walmart to my address book. I have walmart as the company name and I leave the first and last name field empty. Now I'll close my address book and the next time I start it up the business will be merged with a name that already in my address book. Why does my address book do this?

Does it do this when you check the "company" checkbox, too? BTW, my addressbook doesn't exhibit the behavior you describe.

I have about 100 companies in my Address Book and I'm not having that problem.
The Safari 3.0 beta has caused some weird issues for people; did you install that? I have noticed one odd behavior with companies in Address Book: If you add WalMart as a company with an email address, Mail doesn't recognize companies for auto-fill purposes. |
