Very similar, but looks like there are some tweaks. Swipe and voice will make a pretty big difference in use.

Games on the AppleTV looks pretty awesome. It would be really great if I can use my phone instead of the AppleTV remote. I'm not really interested in another remote for my playroom.

You can't really call this a streamer box though. It's more than just a Roku or other such box. Is it overrun with an Apple Tax, sure.

You know, if it's genuinely intuitive, 3D Touch could really be a killer distinguishing feature-- an upgrade and switcher driver.
