My LCD screen broke today. I peeled off the white plastic on the back (must have been a manufacture mistake) I think the problem was there was liquid all over inside the screen. So I wiped it all out with kleenex and made sure no dust got in there. Then I used compressed air to clean between the pixels. After that the ribbon cable seemed to have silver metal on it so I sanded it off. I put it all back together and my screen still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Is this a laptop or a stand-alone monitor? And I presume the reason you opened your screen in the first place was because of the liquid, correct? You prefaced that remark with an "I think." Has the monitor been acting funky recently?

(You posted in the wrong forum, by the way.)

You do realize a Liquid Crystal Display may leak if broken in the first place. I've never actually taken one apart, but it sounds like what I would expect. Oh, and Solder is common in electronics. I wouldn't remove any of it.

Got any pics? I'm having a hard time understanding what this post is about.

^^ One more quality post from the desk of Ebby. ^^

Maybe your hard drive overloaded your display, I'd recommend a good Windex cleaning of the plates...

Every time I try to boot windows in my house there is this loud crashing sound. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have asked my friends and all they tell me is to press control-alt-delete on my keyboard, but my keyboard only has black and white keys. It is costing me a lot of money to keep buying new windows and doc martins, can you guys help?

Try reversing the polarity of the flux capacitor.

Make sure you don't throw out the good liquid... I hear it makes quite the slushy.

Just keep taking the tablets and the voices will go away eventually.

Til then, try not to do anything they suggest.
