I just got a shiny new AirPort Extreme Base Station. It goes wicked fast... supposedly.

My 12" PowerBook only goes to 'g'.

I want to turn it all the way up to 'n'. (That's like 7 faster, innit?)

How?

Ugh.

You would need to find a Mac compatible USB wireless device.

Here you go. $150 for their nQuickly seems a little steep to me (I've seen similar products from Belkin and D-Link for ~$120) but hey, it's guaranteed Mac compatible - and from the looks of things, it'd have great signal reception, with its two relatively large antennae.

Bummer.

I should have specified that a dongle-type solution was right out. That, to me, is about 99% on the way to just using wires.

There's no card for a 12" PB that does 'n'? I mean, yeah, I couldn't find one with Google, but I thought I was just not doing it right.

Oh well. Looks like I'll have to get a new Mac laptop. Whoops! I mean, looks like I'll have to wait until I can get a new Mac laptop. Got a little ahead of myself there.

Ugh.
