Neat idea, but some of that is actually news, while he didn't highlight some things I wouldn't call news (the Anna Nicole Smith coverage, for example).

Oh man, how funny. That's one of the things I do quite a bit: I'll go to cnn.com and scan that little "Latest News" summary listing. For a while there, it was so Britney/Paris/Anna Nicole heavy that it just got ridiculous.
Right now - at 10:14EDT on Monday, March 19 - it's not too horrendous (no mention of any raging celebutards). And last summer, there wasn't a week that went by that Angelina Jolie wasn't on CNN's homepage for some reason or another (adopting a kid, walking in an airport with Brad Pitt, pregnant, maybe pregnant, looked pregnant, her UN work, her latest proclamations on the world at large, etc.). |
