So, next week (3/3-3/9) I'll be going on Spring Break with a bunch of my friends. We are taking a road trip to South Carolina and renting out a house for the week. It is going to be a lot of fun and we are all very excited!!! I was wondering if the AN collective had any suggestions or ideas for things that we should see while we are down there. I know a lot of you have traveled all over this country and many of you are from the Carolinas. Anything special we should look into? I think we are going to go to Medieval Times and hit the club scene and maybe play a couple of rounds of golf to get away from the girls for a little while. Any particular courses we should seek out?
Also, the following weekend (3/9-3/12) is the ACC Championship tournament in Greensboro NC and BC will be there! A few of us from the group are going to try and get tickets from the school. We also don't really have a place to stay in NC and all the hotels are sold out ahead of time. Any suggestions as to what we could possibly do? It will most likely just be three of us, possibly four and we are willing to get creative. Thanks a lot. 1215/234215 (top .51875%) People really have got to stop thinking there is only one operating system, one economic system, one religion, and one business model. -EvilTwinSkippy (/.) If you drive through downtown Winston-Salem (west of Greensboro) on your way, be sure to note and laugh at the building that is looks like a giant phallus. If you're on I-40 Business, you can't miss it.
No, I have nothing more useful to add. The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. Ha, I know who designed that!
Well, frankly, Greensboro is kinda sucky, though I met a great woman there once. Never been to SC, met another great woman from Columbia once though. The mountains in NC are nice even now. Maybe the Biltmore? Might be too far out of your way. There are a bunch of nice golf resorts in the Triad (Greensboro, Winston Salem and High Point) and points west. I stayed at one called the Grandover in Greensboro that was nice. |

Screw Greensboro and come up to the Triangle (Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill). It's only an hour at most away from Greensboro and it's a much cooler place to hang out.

I cannot remember exactly but why you're there get some real ginger ale. I think it's called bleinhzer or something that looks german. Alci can fill you in more, but it BURNS. I never knew ginger ale was supposed to be unbelieveably hot.

On the basketball front, I went to the ACC tournament last year in DC. If I recall, an all session pass (meaning, tickets to every game), was $320, but don't quote me on that. We didn't buy that (because we were a little late in planning), but were able to scalp tickets for what seemed like reasonable prices. It's a good time.
