The short story thread got me thinking, I know there are a lot of creative people here who like to write that may be interested in Ficly. It's a community for short stories with a max of 1024 characters a piece. Stories can be stand alone, or can be prequels or sequels from other stories in the database. People also offer challenges which are basically writing prompts to get you going. The system used to be called Ficlets until AOL closed it down late last year. It's a really cool idea and a fun creative outlet.
