Basically it's a 'this site only designed for IE' but then goes on to state that it uses CSS2, DHTML, etc, and that Mac browsers simply can't handle the standards.

I'd turn on the debug menu and mimic IE just to see what it looks like but that's too much trouble.

At least their hearts are in the right place... It's just that their heads aren't.

Yeah, but that wouldn't explain
- their references to "Netscape Gecko 7" (what? There's Gecko, there's Netscape 7, there's even Netscape Gecko™, but there's no such version as Gecko 7 )

MACINTOSH The Browsers listed above function flawlessly on the Windows Platform while viewing all areas of this website including test demos. We have recently implemented limited support for both Konqueror and Safari browsers. Some issues in display may still apply. The Macintosh platform has its own quirky issues. Programming and design compromises were introduced to deal with the Mac operating system and some versions lack full support for some w3consortium standards in regards to HTML and other CSS objects. In some cases the browser reacts differently or fail altogether while exposing some properties to DHTML scripting. Although this website will recover intelligently from any such issues, it's practically impossible to test for all permutations of the Mac platform/browser/version/scenario. When problems occur we rely on viewers to send us a report as best as could be explained and we take it from there to find a possible remedy.

I want to say it's firefox because Safari doesn't show the tab bar unless you have other tabs open, except that it appears FF doesn't do that either. I'd say it's FF even though I can't figure out what would make it do that.

Firefox has an option to do that in the preferences window.

You can set Safari to do that in Preferences
