So far, from that crowd, who *hasn't* been charged with some type of DUI?

Paris Hilton
Nicole Ritchie
Brittany Spears
Lindsay Lohan

Who's left?

Lohan got her felony charges (the cocaine and all) dropped too, I believe. Whatever, she's not in the type of trouble you or I would be in under similar circumstances. I'd be sitting under the Hamilton County jail in downtown Chattanooga.

WTF message does that send? Bothers me to no end, and it's so blatant.

All these idiots, I'm so sick of them. They do nothing, yet the press and paparazzi follow them like they actually contribute something to the world.

I can't believe the above twits listed by torifile are actually looked up to by so many girls. That scares the living crap out of me, and it should you too. What a vacant, useless and morally repugnant cluster of individuals.

It's for this reason my wife and I won't allow our daughter to idolize that crew listed by just not supporting the movies, albums, etc. by them. In fact, when Lohan went from "cute girl" to slut we made sure our daughter saw the path she was really heading. Not in a judgmental way, but rather the "is that what you want to be when you grow up?" kinda way. Thanksfully she has allowed Lohan to move out of her RADAR.

Pff. At this point who cares. They can all drop dead as far as I'm concerned. Part of the larger problem is the amount of time ordinary Americans waste paying attention to every little thing these losers do. Stop paying attention and watching E! TV and hopefully some of it will go away.

Well, wait just a minute...

I'm not "paying attention" or "watching E!"...that's what sucks most about all this: these stories and coverage are everywhere. Websites, "mainstream, legit" news (turn on CNN or MSNBC and there's a 1-in-3 chance a member of the celebutard culture is being talked about and covered), it's all over regular TV, magazines, etc.

I'm real big on that whole "let the market decide what's needed, and things will work out on their own"...but obviously there are enough people following them and wrapped up in the exploits of these people. I sometimes think it's just a huge sham and it's truly forced on us. But then I think "nope...I know some people who are probably silly enough to sit and watch E! for hours at a time, and subscribe to all the celebrity gossip mags".

Believe me, I'm not seeking this shit out. But it's quite tough to escape when every type of media - print, broadcast, web, messenger pigeon, etc. - indulges in it. You'd have to go live in a cave to remain completely oblivious to it all.
