Will be in NY this weekend and wondered if it was worth it to drop into the SOHO store. I've been to other Apple retail stores so the novelty is gone. But does each store operate independantly by with managers offering discount prices from time to time, or is everything dictated by Apple corporate?

About the only deals that would be SoHo specific would be customer returns. These get sold as 'refurbished' by the store at a discount to regular price.

Other than this and the off national sale I've never seen any special sales happen at the Apple store around here. Of course I don't go there on a regular basis so stuff could be happening that I miss.
