Edit: If interested, it's streaming here.
So I'm not really following this very heavily or anything but figured I'd mention the latest bit I saw. Players on Mac and PC will be able to stream their play via Twitch I haven't found an article outside of Engadget yet but this is interesting. Both sides are saying soon, but what does that mean? Personally, I'm not even a user of Twitch and only have a vague idea of what it is. Louis L'Amour, “To make democracy work, we must be a nation of participants, not simply observers. Watching this session on modding is making me cry. I'm not sure I fit the demographics of the people in the audience asking questions. Maybe I should stop playing if that's what I'm going to turn into.

Twitch is a streaming service that allows for quite a bit of channel customization and control, unlike Ustream. It also allows those who would rather just stream than upload vids to YouTube a much better option. The big thing here is that MineCraft will handle all of the streaming from the software side. No other apps or anything needed, no cameras, no nothing. If we wanted to all join on that and be the AN Twitch MC crew, we could. Would require mics at most (otherwise the stream is just video), but everything else would be completely handled by MC/Twitch.

Huh, that's interesting. So it's like a mutiplayer Call of Duty experience for Minecraft? That could be fun for specific adventures.

So do you all have dedicated microphones for this sort of thing, or could I just use my Apple mic/earbuds?
Not that I'm a big talkie-game sort of guy, but like Drew said, it could be fun for an adventure night. Hoping to get back on in the next few days... it's been about a week I think. Hella busy and out of town don't work very well for my MC addiction. So it goes. |

I used my Apple mic/earbud setup and it worked great!
