Hey guys...first post!
I run a theater company and we have a ton of logos, show posters, photographs, etc... I am trying to create an online digital asset management system that will organize all these "assets" and be available to my staff to pull from whenever they like. Right now all the assets reside on my Mac and I have to burn CDs or look through piles of CDs to find stuff...I want to create an area where they all can live. I have FileMaker Pro...can I use this application to create such a thing...and if so, are there tutorials somewhere on how to do it? Thanks. Jason |

Well, if FMPro can hold binary objects, then you should be able to build what you talked about in your post. I've never used FMPro before so I can't help you with details, but I'm sure you could find online FMPro communities through a Google search.

Filemaker definitely has a container field, which can hold other files such as PDF's etc.
I've never actually used it, but I know it's there. If you go to the Starter Solutions Page, you'll see that there's a Photo Catalog solution near the bottom. Should be fairly easy to modify it to suit your purposes. |
