I must be the only one dealing with this because I haven't seen it mentioned by anyone else. So what's going on this my tabs?

Notice my tabs aren't rendered correctly?

Do you have any of those third-party extensions or other things installed? When did you first notice this? I assume you've restarted Safari (and restarted the entire Mac as well)? I had to turn Tabs on to see what they're supposed to look like (I don't use them)...

Okay, yeah...yours are messed up.

I have 1Password and AdBlock. I guess I also have GlimmerBlocker going too. I haven't changed things since setting that one up a while ago.

So does anyone else have an idea?

How long has it been like that? 1P's extension wouldn't cause that but maybe something outdated or messed up in the AdBlock/GlimmerBlock settings is causing an issue with the rendering?

I don't recall actually. It's been a while for sure. I want to say since an update that impacted Safari/Webkit but I really don't know. I just figured the last update would fix it but it didn't.

I'm killing them one by one to see if it makes a difference.

I've disabled all non-Apple Safari stuff and it still does it.

I don't think that's an option with Safari. Though I might be wrong.

Have you tried it as a new / different user?

Actually, I never thought to try that.

Works just fine on my admin account. Seems something's up with just my user.

Try trashing your preferences. (~/Library/preferences/com.apple.safari.plist)

That didn't do it. I tried to kill off all the variations of it as well.

Yep, though not recommended for many to do.

Fact is, I never did get the bug fixed. It's still there. I used SuperDuper! to copy my SSD to an HDD so I could could migrate the things I wanted to like Mail and all of it's settings and such.

I also have funny things at the top of safari: items called "TV & VIDEO", "HOT SHOWS", "Top Story", etc. I would like to get rid of them but do not know how. Safari is very slow but I do not know if this is the reason.

Do you mean bookmarks? Right click and then select delete.

They are just above the bookmark bar, and are put there by an outfit called "conduit". I do not know how they got there and cannot figure out how to deinstall them. If I knew how to post a picture of them I would do so.

Never used this "Conduit" thing, but I found these uninstall instructions via Google:

http://forum.conduit.com/browser-app...ars-uninstall/

Quote:
To uninstall the toolbar from Safari on Mac, please do the following:

Run /Applications/Toolbars/<Toolbar name>/Uninstall.app

In case the application fails you need to delete the followings:

Open the Finder application, and do the followings:

1. Browse to: Machintosh HD -> Library -> Application Support -> Conduit -> Plugins
2. Remove Plugins directory.

3. Browse to: Machintosh HD -> Library -> InputManagers - > CTLoader
4. Remove CTLoader directory.

5. Browse to: Machintosh HD -> Library -> LaunchAgents -> com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
6 .Remove com.conduit.loader.agent.plist file

7. Browse to: Applications -> Toolbars
8 .Remove Toolbars directory

9. Browse to: Machintosh HD -> Library -> ScriptingAdditions -> ct_scripting.osax
10 .Remove ct_scripting.osax directory

So my issue is still here! However this time it's in Beast (Hackintosh). I totally forgot that I migrated my MB account to here when I set it up so I wouldn't have to fight with getting my programs set up.

All software is updated as of right now. Where else can I look to see what the issue is?

Where did that "Stop" button come from? Maybe that's causing the problem?

That's AdBlock, an extension.
