I just switched from Windows and got a new 15" Powerbook. While I'm sure I'll figure out this whole mac thing eventually, I feel like such a novice with my basic questions. Hopefully, someone can help me out anyways.
I'm trying to open .wmv movie files. I tried downloading Windows Media Player for Mac OSx, but I couldn't open it since it comes in a .sitx format. So how can I either download and install Windows Media Player or open .wmv files some other way? Thanks. |

You need Stuffit to expand .sitx files - should be available at www.macupdate.com . WMP will then play .wmv files.
Stuffit is an old compression format. |

Thanks so much. You don't see very many helpful Windows communities :-)
