Not that it would be hard, but they are done pretty well if they are fake. I hope they are real, but it is kinda cocky. With that kind of hype, Tiger better have some damn nice features.

I believe it's an implied jab that Longhorn (which OwlBoy notes is the next far off version of Windows) will rip off Tiger completely.

Ok, but other than the cool desktop effects, how is tiger like longhorn?
Longhorn has no unix underpinnings nor is it like tiger in any other way other than visual goodies. Is it?

The photocopier one is ironic, isn't it.

It is, and that sucks, but I love it. I just don't love that Apple kind of screwed Arlo by doing it.

I doubt he would win, but isn't there legal action he can take? I mean...sure Sherlock added stuff watson had...but it was the next logical step to my understanding. Now this...come on...the only worse thing would be if Konfabulator widgets worked with it.

I don't doubt we'll see some sort of legal action take place here. I'm sure the developer of Konfabulator has already talked to a lawyer. At least I hope he has.

I hope he get something out of this, I hate being mad at Apple :/

Come waste your time with me

Apple ripped off Watson from Karelia to make Sherlock.

Then they ripped off LiteSwitch X from Proteron to make the application switcher in Panther.

Now, they're going to rip off Konfabulator from Pixoria to make Dashboard.

Nothing new. But it's still despicable.

Escher

I've been waiting for a true sub-PowerBook for more than 10 years. The 11-inch MacBook Air finally delivers on all counts! It beats the hell out of both my PowerBook 2400c and my 12-inch PowerBook G4 -- no contest whatsoever.

I really don't know what to say about it. It's a really great idea Konfabulator (though it to was "ripped" from someone else). I guess Apple tried widgets in the dock and in the menu bar so the next best place was the desktop or Expose or however it works. I personally probably would have never bought Konfabulator and when I downloaded it today I didn't really like it at all because it just seemed messy to me. I like the way Dashboard works with that little "dashboard" and it's cool how the settings for the widgets are on the back and you can "flip it over". I think it's going to be a cool feature though they did take the copying too far.
