Oh my God, I so hope Duke loses to LSU right now. I'm not watching, listening to or keeping track of the score, but there is some chick somewhere in my building who is using all sorts of profanities and tearing her throat apart right now. I so hope she snaps a vocal chord and her team loses to add insult to injury -- literally.

God I hate the cult of Dook and basketball-as-religion around here.

That was GREAT! I may have a chance of winning my pool because nearly everyone picked Dook to win (remember, I work at Dook). That would be SWEET - to win and have Dook not live up to expectations AGAIN, all in one season. Only topped by my pool win last year because UNC won it all.

Damn tonight was a good night for me:

First, my perennial foe Duke goes down. But that pales in comparison to the elation I felt when Gonzaga went down. I have not disliked a team this much in a long time.

All that and I went 3 out of 4 on my games tonight (LSU, UCLA, and Texas) with the chance to go perfect tomorrow. Why oh why did I not enter my bracket in a pool this year? Damn it all.

Thursday night/ Friday Morning: Gonzaga and "I'm a big boy now" Morrison go down.
Sunday afternoon: UMaine takes out Michigan State to advance to the Frozen Four (just had to say it

). UConn and gangstaliscious Boone bow out to George Mason.

And both my title game teams are still alive.

I guess that's reason enough to celebrate, Sundays be damned.
