Not too many details, but it apparently is just happening? Not even on radio ABC news just now...


Edit: From ABC...he suffered a heart attack...quadruple bypass surgery scheduled? The New York Times service called it a heart attack.

On a more serious not though, this stinks. I'm sure he will be ok, you are an ex-president you get the best medical treatment.

I don't think it's hard to believe he had a heart attack, he isn't exactly young, not old yet, but he is in an age more prone to heart attack.

I can top that weak-ass theory: he truly "took one for the team", seeking to take focus/talk off Bush's speech last night.



And on a serious note, I too am kidding. I'm not a Clinton fan or supporter, but this is serious business and I wish no harm to him or anyone. As a President, he will indeed get top-notch care.

I hope he's okay. I'm sure he will be. He's still young and probably has the best doctors in the city working on this.

On MSNBC just now they were saying, it's probably not an emergency or even a heart attack since he went in yesterday and they are only making plans for something to happen today. They said he has lost a lot of weight lately, but since he was over weight most of his life, he could have heart conditions.

It's entirely possible his arteries are just restricted, but not a block like a heart attack. Still possible to need a bypass.

I'm now reading that is blockage, and a quadruple bypass is the route. Stories like this, as they're happening...you've got CNN, Fox, the major wire services, etc. all flooding stuff in.

Half of it contradicts the other half. It's tough to know.

I figure by this afternoon we'll have a definitive, reliable take on it all.

I have to say, I'm somewhat shocked (albeit it in a nice way).

I have no doubt (haven't looked, but going on a reasonable hunch...) that this thread's counterpart over at the old place is probably already 22 pages long, having degenerated into a madhouse...resulting in six permanent bannings (and 17 temporary ones), 137 warnings issued by poor Fellowship and a couple of particular members neck-deep in a six-page back-and-forth (with eyerolls galore) of Clinton's majestic eight years in office vs. the "evil GOP cretins who impeached him for getting his knob shined".



Yeah, Nova is so much nicer. We mention it, wish the guy well and move on to other things...
