So I have this old original G4 Mini that I'm thinking about sending to my mom's house and setting up as an iTunes server for her. Thing is I don't know if I have to connected a monitor to use it. I haven't found this written anywhere yet.
So, can I use Leopard on a G4 Mini without a monitor connection? I can connect it to her TV if I "have to" though I really don't want to. I would just connect to it with Remote Desktop when I'm here. Haven't tested that with a G4 mini, but I have the first generation intel mini and do just that. I am currently using Snow Leopard but I'm sure it worked on Leopard as well.
I do have a wireless mouse and keyboard on the machine, but those are quite often switched off. The only fun might be during the initial setup at your mom's house, but so long as you have enabled everything before you get there, the "Screen Sharing" option should appear when you browse the network and connect to the machine with Finder. I can even reboot over Remote Desktop and it reconnects automatically when it can. |

Ok, I'll set it up at my house to test and see how it works out as a test environment. Thanks for the input, at least I know it's workable (likely).
