I have a G3 800 MHz iBook. It has a 80 gig hard drive, and 640 meg of ram. My question is ther any way to upgrade my combo drive to a superdrive of some sort? And what brand would be good? I do not have apple care since i bought this used off ebay.
I know i can get a decent external burner but i do not want to have to carry it around since I am on the road alot. |

The price you'd pay for an internal superdrive (you've got a tray-load, right?) probably isn't justified versus the cost of an external FW (for which you could get a more capable drive which you could then reuse) or the cost of a Mini with Superdrive (which would be much faster than your 800 G3 iBook anyway).
