Recovery doesn't sound like fun - when is it ever - but at least it's the right path to be on. Do you know where children get all of their energy? - They suck it right out of their parents! |

Dunno... hay Drew, does your insert act more like a muzzle brake, flash suppressor, or a silencer?
Is it reboring the chamber a bit, or adding any new rifling to the barrel? All those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand. |

And, yes, 'blurring' is a wise plan, indeed. So glad the worst part of your ordeal is slipping into the past, day by day. Keep hanging in there, sugarplum. Hugs. |

I woke up from nap and bladder hurt BAD. Very much pressure. BAD. called surgeon's office and they send me to local branch of their group and they flush and drain me. Felt so much better good after that I hugged nurse. It was a lots of clots in line that blocked cath. Drinking good this night and its so much less bloods in the line now. Very happy. also took pill for pain early during panic part of hurt, so am spellling bad now I know.

Drew sorry to hear your having problems, glad things are better now.
As for the spelling, it's a whole lot easier to work out compared to..... uoyr dunrken pissosts........... I used to be undecided.....But now I'm not so sure. No trees were harmed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. |

ha!
by the way every time I pour a glass of water I stop near the top and pour in some cranberry juice and sometimes pomegranate juice. it also helps with my psychology about emptying blood-tinged urine... this way it seems like I'm just letting a nice sweet drink pass through me |

Reminds me of the time(s) when I told a nurse I was pissing blood from a kidney stone (think juice from a blood orange) and their response is invariably we'll see. Those little dip sticks have nothing on the color of bloody urine...

Sounds a bit like if you eat loads of beetroot, and then have a dump, it scares the shit () out of you when you see all that red colour.
But of course you'd know that Drew, being an expert in that department. I used to be undecided.....But now I'm not so sure. No trees were harmed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. |

You know what else scares the shit out of you... Eat German black bread... wait a day. your poo comes out fluorescent green (ymmv, it's pH dependent)...

Just found out I'm officially qualified to join the big C club.
FUCK! Doc said: 'Bad news, but the best possible kind.' Lung Cancer, yes. Malignant, yes. Operable, yes. PET scan otherwise entirely clear... antimatter pass... if we get that single 'grape-sized' anomaly, you're effectively "cured*". *Yeah, yeah... mathematically/probabilistically never 100%, but localized problem with fatter margin surgery= So you lose a bit of lung... meh. Maybe a lobe, maybe half, maybe more. Plenty of people walk around with one. Regular 6mo checkups thereafter are good, considering serendipitous discovery from last checkup let us catch this early. I've asked Brad to temporarily bump the 'burb to Curiousuburb until post-surgery within the next month or two (scheduling pending), when I'll hopefully lose big C ranking. -- Not a request I was looking forward to making, but my Cancer is small and I am huge and with the Surgeon's help I will kick it's ass. Muahahahahaaaaa. Thanks for sharing thread, Drew. Cheers, brother. Hay, if we've joined this exclusive club of reluctant members, don't we get membership benefits or something? Discounted golf? Rubber bracelets with catchy sayings? Better drugs and hotter nurses? All of the above? Dude! Where's the damn fine print... and the secret handshake... All those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand. Last edited by curiousuburb : 2009-06-10 at 19:39. |

And for the record (if anyone asks)... having pondered bottles for many minutes.
Q: What do you drink the night they tell you you have Cancer? A: Your second best bottle. You save the best for the night you beat Cancer. P.S. Smoking is bad, mmmmkay children? All those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand. Last edited by curiousuburb : 2009-06-10 at 20:25. |

Russell Crow: But you know Tugger's attempted suicide made me realize I should take up a cause. Most great actors take up causes and I'm the greatest of them all!
So from now on, I'm going to spend all my spare time fighting cancer. Right! Now where is that pussy cancer anyway! Here's to hoping you both "Russell Crowe," your cancer. And All That Could Have Been |
