Oh, I'm sure I did. As it were, all refreshes to PowerPC systems were in existing designs, and all industrial design changes occurred with Intel systems. There were no "new" PowerPC designs—*zero*—just minor processor refreshes in the July-October timeframe. While Apple did use some old case designs for the early Intel systems, they did not use any new case designs for any of the PowerPC stuff.

I suspect we will see the same pattern with Apple Silicon.

For sure. The form factor changes are going to be the carrots used to lure customers to buy new machines.

Our 2009 and 2011 27” iMacs run like crap, in Mac OS, fine in Windows, go figure. Without boot camp they’d be in a junk yard.

This thread was open in an iPhone tab of mine for some reason, and it’s funny how things changed. M1, wee.

It's called Applebook Air, using the change to Ax chips to start transition away from the "Macintosh" branding for the OS and computers. Computers in the future, with Intel chips will retain the old branding, but as time goes on, say 2025, it's all over.

iMac redesign. I don't see many ways to change the shape, but bring back colours and matte finishes, the brushed aluminum look is really getting old. It's like shopping for appliances, I'm sick of stainless steal appliances for the same reason.

Am I the only one who thinks they should've brought back the PowerBook branding with the AX silicon? Such a better name than MacBook.
