I've seen copies of "Sealed, in box" versions of Final Cut Pro Studio on E-Bay.

Are these all hacks or are they legit? The "Buy it Now" price is usually
around $800

Thanks

Nobody?

I'm figuring they're scams and I don't think I would take the chance
but I was just wondering if anybody had any thoughts.

firstly, welcome to Apple Nova!

secondly, you really gotta give more than a few hours for a response, especially at this hour

and finally, i would be sketchy about it, its a lot easier than it looks to throw some shrink wrap around a box, i always thoroughly read a buyers feedback before i even think of bidding. if i see one comment about counterfeit product, they aint gettin my money. why pay somone $800 when you can dl the same disc image they did?

Ya, that's what I thought. I don't think saving a little money would be worth the hassle and frustration of finding copied discs in the box.

I can you that $800 bucks is WELL below a retailer's cost, so ask yourself these questions:

1) How did THEY get it for some value below cost?
2) Could they be a student, selling the student teacher edition at a great profit, only for you to find it is non-upgradeable?
3) If the software is legit, why would they be willing to take such a huge loss on a brand new product?

eBay is about as trustworthy as a commie spy ('80s monologuing, now), so don't be at all surprised if you get ripped off.
