Dunno... maybe somewhere around the ~100 mark? Snow gathers at SpecMode's house near town, and that's not too terribly high up. It doesn't happen in all biomes, though.

If you don't want snow, what would you think about SkyRanch becoming IslandRanch in the northern ocean?

Let me do some investigation of the area I am thinking about... (apparently the snow height is biome specific, Taiga starts at 130 or so, desert much higher if at all)

Edit: Ok... I still like the idea of *Sky*ranch, so let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

Let's go with ~150 for the height at the base...

In the world where we had a little community of houses at Spawn I built a mountain tower way out in the boonies. Is there a place we could put that in this world?

The one from TerraNova? NW of the true spawn rather than the Secessionist Spawn to the south?

Yes, I think that was it!!

Where could that fit in with our current world?

Looks like this is the place, yes?

Find an appropriate spot, and it's yours.

Okay! This is a spot south of Spawn, near a creepy old tower.

Who lives in this area?

I would like to be atop the green hill overlooking the tree-covered sandbar below!

That's great. I looked at the current map before posting, and I was going to suggest that very spot.

Turtle has a castle mansion to the west, and that structure you see is a copy of Ely's home from TerraNova.

I may not get to this tonight, but maybe tomorrow!

Woohoo!! Awesome!!

Please don't rush on my behalf as
Spoiler (click to toggle):
I'm running a backup of my computer on an original Core2Duo iMac and I suspect that the old beast might chug up if I tried running MC on it. (If you think otherwise let me know!!)

I'll be taking a stab at this transport this evening. I'll take a few minutes to wander around the compound and try to find the lowest depth to include in the copy (unless you know off-hand how deep it runs).

I think the lowest level had a checkerboard, but anything below the farming level isn't crucial. I suspect you'll need to level out a space to fit it to the new site.

The entire "design" of that place was predicated on my early fears of mining!!

As long as the wide side faces out to the water it's fine

Ah, so, flipped around 180°? The image above was showing the east side. Here's the west side:

Beauty!!!!!!!!

Wish I had something beefier than a Core2Duo to log in with!!!

THANK YOU!!!

EDIT: I just realized this is pic from old world, but yes, if this side could face water it would be keen!!!

I may be chronically late, but I'm still a man of my word.

I had to do a wee bit of terrain sculpting and experimenting to find juuust the right spot, but otherwise it was a straightforward copy-paste job! I included everything to the checkerboard floor like you requested. Some things may have been transported a few blocks below that level too, but they're likely embedded in dirt and stone.

Oh, and although most of the Space Pirate Mountain compound fit, there's one overhang on the other side where, well, let's just say you should watch that first step. It's a doozy!
