After so many delays, Atlantis is finally cleared for launch at 2:45 PM. I'll be doing my usual recording and uploading of the launch.

Here's to a safe launch, it's good to see this this thing finally getting off the ground after such a long delay!

Hey, I'll even be off work to I might be able to watch it live this time. If not I'll look forward to seeing your copies.

It'll be live as usual on all the cable news networks and possibly the national networks, but I haven't checked to see if the networks have done it recently.

If the weather holds out I'll be watching it from the roof of my office building. Not as close as my friend who just started working at the Cape though.

Looking good... Countdown clock is ticking, weather is holding. Security airspace is clear, all go.

I was able to see it for about a 1/2 second before it ducked behind a cloud.

The thing I miss most about living in Palm Coast is being able to go out onto my driveway and watch the launches. I'm glad others here are enthused about it, though; maybe I can't see it live, but I know others are keeping tabs on our shuttles too.

Post launch press conference is reporting "3 small foam events... apparently less significant than previous events, and less events than previous missions". Sounding good.

Columbus sails again.

I have to say again that NASA TV is pretty fucking slick. The QT stream was thoroughly enjoyable.

Yeah, I watched it on the QT stream without a hitch. I'm very glad they use that technology.

I really dropped the ball on the video for this one... Sorry for the extreme lateness.

Atlantis will be landing Wednesday, even if they have to use Edwards. They want it out of the way so that satellite can be shot down later Wednesday or Thursday.

The Columbus module was removed from the cargo bay and installed onto the space station a few days ago. Not sure what happened today.

Just watched local news here and they said today they started to prepare to disembark from the ISS and prepare for reentry on Wednesday.

The crew transfer is finished and the hatches are closed. Undocking will take place early in the morning.

KSC and Edwards will be staffed to get them landed on Wednesday.

Yeah! I love it when these mission work. I know it's rare they don't, but still good when they do.
