To be fair though, this dude's Photoshop skills are absolutely unrivaled. You can't even really tell it's a shop job no matter how closely you look at the pixels.

This is a pretty cool Flickr stream where someone made race & ethnicity maps for severa US cities using 2010 Census data. Unsurprisingly, Portland is the whitest city.

Nice find! Raleigh (and its surrounding towns) is in there and, well, the data fits spot-on with my perceptions of the geographic racial distribution. Also, it's funny to see NCSU's campus as a densely-packed solid block compared the the peppered sprawl everywhere else.

Ok, so today is sunday and this is a spoof akin to the Hitler videos, but it still pretty funny to see Dimitri find out it's friday.

In the IRL news, yesterday I bore witness to both a pro Justin Bieber demo and an anti ACTA demo. Judging from the crowd size I can surmise that ACTA is approximately as unpopular as Bieber is popular.

a) Why was there a jar of gasoline in the kitchen to start with? In the garage or lawn mower shed, sure. But kitchen?

b) Could he not smell that it was gasoline as he raised it to his mouth (that's a pretty strong, distinctive smell)?

c) And what, exactly, was he expecting it to be? He just saw a random bit of liquid in his friend's kitchen, kinda clear/amber in color, and decided to swig it (no questions asked, or perhaps an exploratory sniff or small test sip)?

Did he just assume someone poured him some whiskey or something, and left it there for him to discover?

He had several opportunities to not burst into flames...but somehow managed to bypass every single of them.

This is the part that gets me.

I don't care how long "sometime later" is...if I felt that I just primed my mouth, esophagus and clothing with gasoline, I'm not going to be all that eager to smoke a cigarette for a few days, to be completely honest.

Instead, maybe I'd drink a bunch of milk, brush my teeth/gargle about 575 times, take a few showers, etc. Oh, and change my gasoline-covered clothes. If, after all that, things were cool about 48 hours later...yeah, then I'd go ahead and light up. Sure.

This is just too Wyle E. Coyote for me to get my head around...

I guess the one good thing is that his buddy had a "gotta smoke outside, dude" rule...otherwise he could've burned the entire complex down had he lit up on the couch.
