is this going to happen or what?

Last 3 days we have spent going "oh just wait till 12pm pacific standard time!"
is all hope lost for the 1.67ghz , with the 9800 and 128bit standard.. or are we going to have to wait till "Q2 2005" for the g5 powerbooks which are just a much a possible myth as these..

Nobody knows that's saying anything...

All hope lost? Of course not. There's always next Tuesday. And the Tuesday after that. And so on.

I'm quite new to Apple and I'm planning to switch once the new rev of the PB will be out.
I'm wondering why this update should happen on a Tuesday ?
A lot of people often say "wait for next Tuesday", why ?

Sorry for my english I'm French

Tuesday is actually totally arbitrary....

We, in truth, have no idea what's going on at Apple with regards to the Powerbook at this point.

We're baffled.

All we know is:

We want an update and an update is due.

Is anyone else as shocked as I am that this handle wasn't taken?!

Come on, people! iRobot?!

Well, my mom told me yesterday that she's going to buy a PowerBook when the G5 comes out. Seriously. As for me, I put in an order at work yesterday with a local reseller who said it will take 3-4 weeks. The best I can hope for is that there may be an update before then.

Bah! 1.67 vs. the present 1.5. Who cares? Do a major speed bump for the G4 or, more to the point, bring on the G5.

Tuesday is the traditional date for hardware and software releases by Apple. Though, this has not always been the case: I recall a laptop being released on a Monday once, and another hardware release on a Saturday.

Guys, there's already a thread about this. Redundant threads are kind of annoying...

Yes, that's true... there is already a PowerBook speculation thread.
