I have both and I think both are listed in iChat and which is getting used, how do I know. And do you need an AIM or .mac account to use local network chat.

iChat -> Preferences -> Accounts. What's listed by AIM Screen Name? That's what's being using.
No, you don't need either an AIM account or a .Mac account for the local Rendezvous chat. Rendezvous uses your username on your computer as the username for the chat. The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |
