Yes, as embarassing as this is it is true. I accidently made any mouse click zoom to all my windows, now I can't click on anything, i bascially am mouse less. Does anyone know what i can do to restore to default settings. I dont want to re-install tiger, and i've used tab to get my self to system preferences but once i'm there tab only brings me to spotlight so I can't change the setting. Any ideas> Thanks

You should be able to tab your way even in system preferences... I did it before, only I can't quite explain....

Full Keyboard Access (about 3/4 down)

And by the way:

This kind of adds to Brads solution. (Took me a while to figure out, good learning experience) Its quite a pickle. Ive an idea, but am not sure how to highlight the radio button in the Universal Access preferance panel to turn on mouse keys, and dont see an obvious solution in any list of keyboard shortcuts. If someone else can help with this then this should work.

In Finder Apple-N
Shift-Command-A
Press S and open System Preferences
In the Spotlight search box, type Mouse Keys
Hit Enter
Select the Mouse Key On radio button (need help with this)
This will allow you to use the numeric keypad as a mouse (5 key to click)
You can then fix your problem and disable the Mouse Keys

*Slaps self*
Alternativly spotlight for Mouse Keys and choose Universal Access

Whoa! I did this same thing just yesterday. I used spotlight to open system prefs, then used the tab key to set the mouse button correct in the window.

It had me scared for a while!

When you are in any window without anything special going on, you can hit the tab key and it will outline any "hyperlinks" or clickable objects in the window.

By hitting the enter key while selecting a button using the tab key, you can navigate to the next level of the page.

Try it in any open window.

When you have no mouse, use the tab trick to navigate the screen.

It will make sense when you do it for the first time.

You can also use the arrow keys after using the tab key the first time.

Did you read all of the instructions?

Quote:
Control-F1: Turn on Full Keyboard Access
Control-F2: Highlight Menu
Control-F3: Highlight Dock
Control-F4: Highlight Window (active) or next window behind it
Control-F5: Highlight Toolbar
Control-F6: Highlight Utility window (palette)
Those are function keys, not number keys.

Once you have the highlight in the right area, use the arrows, tab, or shift-tab to cycle to the right item. Then press enter to "click" on it.
