hi there,
i recently did a erase and install with tiger on my powerbook g4 1.25 because of kernel panic problems and i forgot to back up some important pictures.. does anyone know of a way to recover them either through a program or a method someone has successfully used. thank you, any help would be appreciated. |

There's an application called "Data Rescue" that works very well, but in order for it to be of use you'll need to have another hard drive to move files to when you're doing the scan/restore. Other than that application I haven't had too much luck, but Data Rescue works very well.

slickshal: If you did a wipe and reinstall, the chances of your files still being recoverable are pretty slim, unless your drive was rather empty to begin with, *and* you're very lucky.
Been there, it sucks. (Lost 18 months of dissertation research one day - *three* drives failed in a row, the original, and the two backups.) |
