Is there a way to disable the effect Quicktime 7 Pro uses when entering full screen / present mode?
I'm writing a small applescript to automatically launch a .mov, play it full screen and exiting again. Since this is for (temporary) screening to an audience, the effect of the movie window scaling across the second screen is unacceptable. Short of going to VLC, is there a way somewhere in the deep dark depths where the plists live to disable that silly animation? I have found one resource on an Apple board, but that suggested fake installing QT 6 to solve it. That didn't work... Somehow you can't google for Quicktime and Full Screen because all you get is links to sites showing the applescript hack to get QT (non pro) full screen to work.. ![]() "That’s because an “integrated Intel graphics” chip steals power from the CPU and siphons off memory from system-level RAM."
